At Smile Ahead Clinic, the full restoration of a jaw is completed in just a few hours and involves the placement of four (4) to eight (8) implants, depending on the jaw condition and the lack of teeth. Special cases that show reduced bone density in the jaw and require bone graft reinforcement will need additional time. In these cases we place a fixed temporary restoration work, until the final restoration can be placed.
MULTIPLE IMPLANTS – A MORE PAINFUL PROCEDURE?
No. Same as with single implants, the procedure of a full jaw restoration with dental implants is carried out with the use of local anesthesia which minimizes the patient’s discomfort. The appropriate preoperative and postoperative medication prescribed helps significantly in both the preoperative and postoperative course, ensuring a comfortable process.
